Re: Load up your mags and put your tin foil hats on...

Hillary says it is our problem - Americans are responsible for the drug traffic because they buy the drugs, and we are responsible for the gun problem in Mexico because we make and sell guns. Is anything in the world not created by, or the responsibility of, Americans??? I'm getting tired of this c...

That is the sort of common sense that our government often lacks. Yes, shut 'er down and it fixes a lot of the problems. But, no, it just can't be that simple -- surely there is a bigger issue, which is the second amendment.

Re: Yet another call to infringe...Just because Mexico says...

Regarding this statement: "The State Department says firearms obtained in the U.S. account for an estimated 95 percent of Mexico's drug-related killings." I call complete bull on that. How in the world can they know that U.S. obtained firearms account for an estimated "95%"?? I c...

Re: Load up your mags and put your tin foil hats on...

So for those who have not been playing along... A few weeks ago, Holder mentions a ban. Last night during Obama's "press conference" he feels the need to work in the statement that guns are going from the USA into Mexico. I had to point that out to my wife and tell her that this was now at...

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

Even if my rifle, shotguns and spare sidearm have a cable lock, then one sidearm does not and is on me and ready to go. Take a look at the LJ3 here: http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum2323.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (pistol version LJ1 http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum23...

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

I usually only have one firearm at a time ready for protection, (sometimes 2) but I always have at least one. I carry at home 100% of the time. Even if my rifle, shotguns and spare sidearm have a cable lock, then one sidearm does not and is on me and ready to go. I didn't mean to insinuate that all...

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

As Charles Heston said, if the gun isn't loaded (and I'll add - accessible), then it's not for home defense. Amen, I believe that 100%. If you have to go through 5 layers of security, then you're in trouble when the time comes that you need it. You only have seconds to be ready to protect yourself ...

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

It's not much good against crooks but a cable lock through the action of a pump shotgun is a cheap way to help prevent accidents. I use a cable lock on all of mine when they aren't in my control. I take it off of the shotty at night before bed in case I go for it rather than the .40 under my pillow...

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

My 13 and 10 year old daughters understand gun safety and are flawless, so that is good. My 3 year old son is incredibly curious, and in my house I know that he will stumble upon a firearm, so I continually give him the "talk" about safety and not to touch it under any circumstances. I tel...

Re: Veteran cuts down US Flag flown under a Mexican flag in Reno

What I saw was a man that believes in his country and who openly accepted the consequences for his actions. I think that the store owner was trying to make a statement, and I think that this man, Mr. Brossard, made his own statement in response. I think that he was willing to accept whatever happene...

Re: Tatoo Idea

I should have added a #4: I've had all custom work done, no one has a duplicate of one of mine.

I thought that was a good tip too.
