Re: Plano School District has 30.06 posted parking lots

Yes it states clearly "firearm cannot be carried on school premises(building or portion or building)" that is word for word out of the HB. Yep it is a risk, and I risk I have debated with myself for a good part of 5yrs. I've come to know when the "dogs" are coming, plus I've lear...

Re: Plano School District has 30.06 posted parking lots

Well, I work at a ISD. The SRO at the school I work said that one cannot have a gun on school premises (talking to a coach who just got a CHL) you will be arrested :waiting: . His defenition of premises is school property when I asked what he ment about premises....I just walked away. I later approa...

Re: Mosin Nagant's

Had one. Got it for 80bucks at a gunshow 1943year....but the barrel was messed up didn't notice until I shot it. No matter what the bullet always shot up and to the right. Strong rifling but near the end of the muzzle about an inch in... it was all torn up....either corrosive ammo and inproper stora...

I use Castrol 5W-30 full syn. on my AR. I just dip a Q-tip and rub the BCG rails, slide it into the upper and rack it few times. :coolgleamA:

Re: I want to buy my first AR

While I'm most defenitly not a cool aid drinker. I went against the grain, with an Olympic Arms K3B M4 2005 carbine, dispite ALL of the negative hype regarding this manufacture. The carbine has done a supurb job of doing what is expected out of an AR. It will be a year on the 18th of Jan. that I've ...

Re: School event parking lot question

I work @ a highschool. I did extensive reading and rereading of the law and what not. Since I'm a CHL holder. I just leave the firearm in my car for the duration of my shift. I been working in the district for 4+yrs. Not one problem, even when they randomly bring dogs to sniff out any contraband tha...

Re: Question about HB 86 (Campus Carry)

Right now, she can't even have it in her car at school. I take it that this is in the employee manual, right? Otherwise, wouldn't CHL allow her to secure her weapon in her car before entering 'the premises?' In the CHL book..I read and understood that a CHL certified person CAN keep the firearm in ...

Both drivers are loons.

The shooter failed....since he had a hammer (chl-firearm) every problem he encountered quickly became a nail.

Re: I bought a fanny pack and I liked it.

When I first started to carry I really weighed this method. Was shopping for the packs and what would be best for me. I then went and got some real training and decided after several force on force scenerios that my prefered and best method For ME is to keep the firearm "on body". Have car...
