No matter if they ride a "hog" or a "wasp" it's wise to avoid stupid people in large groups. Nothing personal. I also avoid the crowds for SXSW and other events that have a big draw from out of town. It's ok. Austin hosts many large events throughout the year. You could log some serious TV time. Just think, ROT will
be all over by Sunday morning. The large crowd of unruly people will disburse and head back home. The sun will come
out and it will be a brand new day. Be happy.

we've just enjoyed the countryside rides available nearby, tried to hit as many BBQ places as possible, and
had fun watching the "parade" roll into town on Friday evening. Seeing all the different bikes
is interesting too. If you are into motorcycles, paint & body work and/or custom machines.
ROT rolls into, and out of town every year. Leaving a considerable amount of $$$ behind to local
merchants, restaurants and bars/clubs (not to mention the ROT charity cause).
Stay home and watch TV. Those biker type people are a scary bunch.
