I think you misunderstood the poster you quoted. I took it as: "Maybe this drunk moron had an out of state license and didn't have the Texas law covered in his class." The Utah comment was most likely in reference to a recent thread where people saw an advertisement for a Utah CFP class that was under 2 hours long, with NO shooting portion.

As opposed to "everyone with a Utah CFP is a drunk moron."

Just my thoughts.

The bar I worked at let any employee throw anyone out for any reason. If they were bigger than the bartender he'd ask the bouncers for assistance. The managers/owner thought it was funny and never really bothered to listen to the people who got thrown out. 99% of the time they deserved it.

I've had a beer while sitting at the bar in Chili's quite a few times with no problems. The guy in the OP might just be a little excited about his new CHL (assumption, I know), or he's just an idiot. Some people think it's "cool" to have a gun on them and don't realize how people react to that in public yet. Hopefully he learned something.
