Re: LCP Recall
Nice tip, I always hated popping the pin with a screwdriver!

I had the same thought, why would PMI put a pinky extension on that? Anyone with a hand that big I won't mess with.

Re: LCP Recall
I picked this PMI 15 round mag up at the Pasadena Fun Show last weekend, it's just for practice, I had little hope of it working as no PMI mag I've ever bought worked, but it flowed 50 rounds without a hiccup and I didn't have to reload as often.

Re: LCP Recall
Ammo yes, they've sold .380 Blazer for around $60 a box, maybe more, and FN ammo for really high prices and probably others, I quit going there. I know supply and demand, yada, yada, yada, but Academy, Wally, Cabelas, Sportsman and others haven't done this. Just serach it on this forum and you'll see quite a few posts.

Re: LCP Recall
No problem, I saw CTD had them too, with their recent gouging I just don't want to do business with them anymore.

Re: LCP Recall
I have both the Ruger extensions and the Pierce, they are so close as to not being an issue. Here's where to get the Pierce.

Re: LCP Recall
I have 3 .380's and a few hundred rounds of ammo, but if I didn't have the ammo, I sure wouldn't have bought the LCP.

Plano got some the week before.. the store manager said they had some deal worked out with Ruger to sell these little kits..(I got one, nice carry case, extra mag etc) -- keep checking or call one and they will check inventory for other stores..then call the other store and have em hold it for you (24 hour max)
I've noticed that too, I've seen them more and more, but I think people don't buy them unless they already have .380 at home.

LCP Sticking Firing Pin Update
Test firing went perfectly, I shot 3 different types of ammo with 2 different mags, no malfuctions at all. It really seemed to like the JHP stuff, very accurate at 7 yards. I really like the LCP for a backup or primary.

LCP sticking firing pin
I went to the Academy at I45 and Edgebrook looking for .380 ACP, they were out (big surprise) but they had a LCP! My wife has wanted one since I brought mine home so I bought it for her. On disassembly & cleaning I noticed the firing pin would stick if I pushed it in & no amount of oil would help. I checked mine & it was smooth as silk. Hmm. I Googled it & saw others who had the same problem & they sent it back to Ruger, but I didn't want or need that kind of hassle. I looked it over & saw it had an ESNA roll pin holding the firing pin & with the right sized punch I drove it out, removed the firing pin & spring & discovered the hole in the slide & the firing pin had burrs. After removing the burrs it was as smooth as silk. I haven't fired it yet, that will come tomorrow, but I can't see it being a problem.

Re: LCP Recall
I just shot my new 371*** LCP, it functioned perfectly with 3 different types of ammo. The Arms Room in League City has Monarch and that's all, but it worked perfectly.
