Bump keying isn't anything new, and it's not as easy to do as the news makes it seem. It does take some practice to figure out how to do it just right, but once you do figure it out, it's pretty easy to replicate.

Masterlock has an awesome lock called Nightwatch, that disables the exterior lock at nighttime:

You can also get "bump proof" locks (Which really arent, they just use odd keys that can't be copied, and are very expensive) like these:

For just a little bit of money, you can also get a night latch, which doesn't have an opening to the outside, like these:
