I know several of the children and I think they would have already put in a request for those with sentimental value. There was another list of the possible 'keepers' that I did not include (I would think these would pass down to the kids eventually). I think the money would be a big help to the family at the moment given the economy and his health (which is in a steady decline).

I did send a note about the interest in some and my friend said she would share the info.

A friend whose father lives out of state has alzheimer's and his wife is planning on selling off some of the guns he has collected over the years. Can anyone provide any input as to what sort of value to place on the guns/collection so she can get an idea of what she has? Most on the list are long guns with few pistols. I can e-mail the list (.pdf) if anyone can help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as the family is under a bit of stress lately and I don't want them being taken advantage of.
