FANNIN CO., TX - A 13-year-old Fannin County boy, hospitalized Wednesday night, after being shot with a shotgun by his brother.

The Fannin County Sheriff's Office says it happened at a home north of Savoy, near Highway 82 and County Road 1235.

Lt. Daryl Parker tells KXII a 16-year-old was cleaning a 12-gauge shotgun when it discharged, sending buckshot through the wall, which hit the 13-year-old in the hand and stomach.

The younger boy was taken to TMC, suffering from serious, but non-lifethreatening injuries.

The boys' parents were at work at the time of the shooting.

Parker says the shooting was accidental and no one else was hurt.
