Traffic Stop

I was stopped for the first time in many years yesterday on the I 45 N feeder. Buy the time the officer (Shenandoah) reached the side of my truck I had the door open (window switch is acting up) with my License, CHL and Insurance card in my hands on the top of the steering wheel. On seeing the CHL he asked where my weapon was, to which I replied "on my right hip" Officer replied to please keep my hand clear of that area and that was the last mention of the CHL. He told me I was doing 67 on the feeder and did I know the limit was 45, I replied that I was aware of the limit but didn't realize I was moving that fast. He gave, me a verbal warning and sent me on my way.

While being stopped is never fun, this stop could not have gone any better. I suspect that the CHL may have gotten me the warning instead of a ticket, but in any event I will be paying more attention to my speedometer in the future!
