Question: Firearms in vehicle on college campus
Here is the scenario: I have a pistol and rifle match to shoot in on Saturday. I will be leaving there to go straight to my daughter's college to drop off some of her things before school starts. My firearms from the match will be cased inside my vehicle (concealed). The vehicle will be in the parki...

Re: Warning and/or Signal Shots
I think warning shots are a bad idea for numerous reasons. One of the main reasons in my opinion is this: If you fire a warning shot only you know it is a warning shot. The BGs very well may think you are trying to shoot them, and their normal reaction will be to defend themselves. They won't fire a...

Re: 1st time out and felt totally normal
Congratulations! :clapping: I also just had my first concealed outing a couple of days ago. It's quite an experience. I guess it will be like wearing a seat belt. When I was young (and stupid... well stupider than I am now) I would never wear a seat belt. When I went through pilot training we did no...

Re: carry a PLR16
I am loath to tell anyone what they should and should not do. However, I think a PLR16 really violates the term "concealed". I would like to hear his arguments as to why he would choose this opposed to one of his other guns. I have my own opinions about this, but I will keep them to myself.

Re: One more packing
Well I complete my first day of concealed carrying on Sunday. I did not make it to Wally World, but I think I did a pretty acceptable job anyway. I was surprised I did not feel more self conscious carrying, but it felt pretty natural. Sorry, no pictures. I did not have a wingman to fly photo-recon f...

Total Concealment
I am new to CHL. I just received my license a few days ago. I am beginning to learn that not only am I required to conceal my handgun, but it is in my best interest to conceal that I even have a CHL. That means concealing it from family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and just about everyone. I don'...

Re: Weapons @ Work
I think that even though it is not talked about much, Having a CHL is about concealment. That means total concealment. Even though it is not written in the the law it is prudent to conceal the fact that you even have a CHL. The sheep do not like the sheepdogs unless the wolves come around.

One more packing
I just received my CHL in the mail today. I have to say it really went smooth as silk with me. From the time DPS received my application until I got the plastic in the mail was right at 6 weeks. I will be performing my Wally Walk very soon (maybe tomorrow). I will make sure to file a mission report ...

Re: Plastic on the way - Only 48 days!
I received my CHL in the mail today.
It looks like I am no longer a resident of "The Waiting Room".
Good luck to all of you here, especially those in Harris County.

Judging from the mug-shot I can understand why he thought it was necessary to use a gun to obtain a girlfriend.
