Re: OWB Recommendations?

Kaluban Cloak makes a good alternative to Raven with almost no wait time. Their website is a bit lacking but I really like their holsters.

Re: Taking the Rider's Safety Course

Good on you for taking the class before buying a bike. There is a lot of good info in there. I also recommend reading Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough. I ended up going the dual sport route instead of street bike and have really enjoyed getting off the beaten path and seeing parts of Texas and...

We had a good class except for one guy. He showed up with a S&W 686 .357 with a six inch barrel. The instructor asked him why he picked a 6" revolver for concealed carry and he said it was because the .357 would punch right through the engine block of any car chasing him. He had a few other...

You should go there on a dual sport bike and explore all of the dirt roads in the park. It's a beautiful place.

120 days?!?! Did they give you a reason for the delay? I wish the law had some more teeth to get the license issued in 60 days. I don't guess there is much more I can do than bug them every so often with a phone call.

I haven't received the business days excuse from them yet. I actually did call on day 60 to check on the status and they said they were waiting on a response from some group but they wouldn't tell me who. I've lived in the same house for 8 years, was in the military 12 years before that and have nev...

I'm at T+66 today and had nothing returned. I emailed them today for a status and here is their reply. We did receive your application, but at this time it is still going through its regular processing. However, due to an increase in application submissions, the CHL staff is slightly behind schedule...

I have taken one of Karl's classes at KR Training. It was an intermediate class - I learned a lot and highly recommend him.

They received my packet on 10/12 and my status still shows processing application. I guess I'll be giving them a call on Monday since that is T+60. Well I called this morning and was told my application is still waiting for a background check to be returned. I live in Travis County so I guess that i...
