Re: Carry @ Rodeo Austin?
Yes, I do not plan to carry now, I'm glad I asked before potentially getting into big trouble. I do not want to be that test case.

Re: Carry @ Rodeo Austin?
Just to better understand, does anyone know how they define professional? I mean "PBR" or "NFL" I recognize as Professional, but what does it really mean? Upon thinking about it some, I believe perhaps it could mean if someone GETS PAID (i.e. it is their "profession") t...

Re: Carry @ Rodeo Austin?
Ok, I see the differnce now between "sporting event" and "professional sporting event". I guess I did not recognize they were different, legally.
Thanks Keith.

Carry @ Rodeo Austin?
It is probably considered a 'sporting event' but the law states they still MUST POST (30.06).
Anyone know if it's posted?

Re: LCP Recall
That's not what I mean. See this thread: http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_Forum/viewtopic.php?p=218818#p218818" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I have had one instance so far where the LCP slipped out of my pocket and the Nemesis while I was reclining in a lazy boy. Whe...

I guess while I'm "naked" without my carry pistol, I will have to walk around with my AR-15 instead (open carry of course)...

Good idea, in fact, I could have two - it never hurts to have a BUG and I already have a permit, so I can carry [as many as I want]....

Re: Presentation/Shooting from a Vehicle...
I also pocket carry and am also a lefty. I carry in my left pocket though, which does make drawing easier. As for "while seated in a car", I see what you mean and I have also thought a good bit about this. Sometimes I remove my weapon and store it in the console box which may make it sligh...

Re: My TABC Phone Call
First off, good for you - thank you for doing that and stepping up! He stated that the 51% and no carry for a CHL was ridiculous to begin with. I can't believe he said this - Anyways, I don't know where I lie with this. Part of me likes this law because it prevents reckless CHL holders from getting ...

Re: Is Fogo de Chao 30.06?
I gave up drinking at restaurants and bars years ago, when drinks started to cost $2. Now they charge more for one beer than an entire 6-pack in the grocery store. - Jim Yeah, I only did it there because it was my wife's b-day and we were trying to celebrate and "go all out". We got home ...

Re: Is Fogo de Chao 30.06?
I went to Estancia Churrascaria (Brazilian place like Fogos and the others) here in Austin the other night (and carried) and while they have no problems with folks carrying (apparently), they do with money - they are quite greedy - they charged us $8.25 for a mixed drink (and of course you don't kno...

Re: Student calls 911 but nobody came in time
Good so I am not the only one who has problems convincing the better half! Man, I tell you, like a year ago I would have been like "ok no big deal, you don't have a permit to carry".. but now after I've been carrying and have had my CHL for a while, I am thinking to my wife, why in the wo...
