I've had it both ways in the same store here in Rosenberg. It didn't bother me either way. It is a company policy that I can live with.

I 2nd the Rosenberg store, I live just down the street and everyone I have dealt with has been very nice.
On the form question, they have to store and keep the form the same as every other FFL out there does. I would not think Academy as a corporation is more or less trustworthy than my local fun store would be.

I agree about it being trouble free. Their prices are good to fair and yeah they walk you out, but that is their company policy and I am okay with it as long as their prices stay good.
