Re: Cities improperly posting 30.06 signs?
In Bay City the Matagorda County Courthouse is posted with 30.06 signs at each entrance. The first floor of the building is used for tax offices and vehicle registration. The actual courtrooms are on the second floor. They are classing it as a court building. I would like to see the law changed to ...

Re: Eviction Notice
You should check out the Texas State Law Library, lots of information about what tenants and landlords can and can't do.

Re: Brazoria county fair
In 2008 at the entrance to the fairgrounds there is an old beat up plywood sign with faded letters that mentions no handguns and some statute that I can't remember. I moved away since then so I don't know if it is still there. Fairgrounds are owned by the county so carry on.

Just visit one of the newer Buc-ees gas stations where the stalls are more like seperate rooms with real walls and a door that locks with a dead bolt. Best gun friendly gas station ever!

Re: Is this sign legally posted?
The 30.06 is valid but its only posted on the 3 main mall entrances, not the stores. You can legally carry into Sears for example but you cannot enter the mall. This is the grey area, if someone from out of town with a CHL entered through a store and later entered the mall they would see no 30.06 s...

Re: Brazoria County Fair 2011
I looked up the tax records a couple years ago but I can't find it anymore. From what I understand the Fair Association leases the grounds from Brazoria County. There is one sign at the entrance that talks about no guns, but it isn't 30.06 compliant and is barely readable anyway. If I come across wa...

Re: 30.06 Question..... Again
I guess if I go there in the future I will only sit on the patio; I will stick to the "I never saw the 30.06 cause I have never been inside" story. Of course now that you posted on the internet that you have seen the sign, everybody knows. Once it's on the internet you can't take it back.

Woman attacked while jogging in Houston
Why would I need to carry a gun while jogging? It's 6am and I'll only be gone for a little while...

Re: Gun safety advocate breaks one of the golden rules
Wow, I always check to make sure my gun is unloaded when I point it at my head and pull the trigger, doesn't everybody?

Re: Handgun safety styles - Discuss pros and cons.
A good holster that covers the trigger is also part of the safety system. A gun in a good holster is very safe. This is why you don't carry any kind of gun down your sweatpants. It wouldn't have gone off if it was in a good holster. The only time a gun comes out of the holster is when you are ready ...

Do metal detectors alone count for verbal notice? I wouldn't think so, unless there is someone standing there saying no firearms allowed.

Re: is the drury hotel on the riverwalk posted?
The Drury I stayed at in san antonio had granite thresholds for the under the room doors. The door had a 2 inch gap below it. People can see into your room by looking at the reflection on the granite threshold. I left the room to get breakfast and while standing at the elevator i glanced back at the...

Re: Anyone visit the new Home Depot in Clear Lake? Security Q
Any type of electronic device has the potential set it off. There are a lot of different factors that are involved though. It could depend on what type of device you have, how fast you walk, how close you walk to the sensor, how old they are, etc... My cell phone sets off my local walmart every so o...

Make sure you wear a baseball hat. I've seen hot brass bounce off a forehead and fall straight behind your safety glasses.
