Re: on the john

At first glance, it looks helpful. I'll wait to judge until I can check out some of the results for my zip code.

It shows three Starbucks when we only have two.

It shows a Pizza Hut location that is delivery/carry out only.

It has a listing for Exxon Pipeline Co. I have no idea what that is since Exxon stations are listed as Exxon Corp.

It lists one higher scale restaurant where someone stopping for a purpose other than eating might be obvious.

No listings at all for the best one, Wal Mart whose restrooms are clean and at the very front.

Also, no listings for good ones like Circuit City, Academy, Best Buy and others who have excellent facilities.

If I were to change my sig line, it would probably read 'Thank God for Immodium'!!

Re: on the john

Wait until decisions about when and where you can go somewhere are based on the location of available public restrooms.

You'll learn which of the retailers have the cleanest and which to avoid, fast food establishments being on the low end.

You'll memorize where they are located in the different stores and how much time it takes to get to them.

I am truly amazed when I read where someone never uses public facilities.

Re: on the john

Where else can you ask these questions?

Yet, it's something we all encounter and must deal with.

Re: on the john

I'd like to mention a few things to consider.

I recommend against placing the gun on either the toilet tank or the paper dispenser. It's very easy for it to slide off of the toilet tank and guns have been left behind in the stall. IIRC, there was a thread on packing.org way back about an officer that forgot his Glock.

Regarding using the hook, it is possible for someone outside the stall to reach over the top and remove items from the garment hook. It would usually only get the thief a jacket.

If you feel you must unholster while taking care of business, I suggest letting it rest in the lowered pants.

And you surely won't forget it.
