SOLD
Up for sale is my CMP Service Grade Springfield M1 Garand, Serial number 58xxxxx; best guess its post-Korean War. I don't know if all parts are Springfield. I would describe the rifle as 4 stars for a 60 year old rifle. Metal wear is average; handguard wear is average; stock above average; muzzle wear is much better than average (an old Army vet, doing the bullet test, said its "excellent," but I do not have a gauge to specify its wear). Rifle will be in cardboard, padded CMP shipping box, NOT the newer plastic case.
Ammo includes 2 sealed CMP spam cans of Greek ammo. *I make no guarantees to this ammo's quality, just as CMP doesn't. Its luck of the draw; it may be excellent, it could have corrosion.* I also have 5 loaded en bloc clips, about a dozen empty clips, and all the empty brass (50+ pieces) I can find that I'll stick in a metal ammo can.
Asking $1600, cash, FTF in Lake Houston area of Houston. No trades.
Buyer must be Texas citizen with no criminal history who is able to legally own firearms. First "I'll take it" gets the gun.
If you want any specific photos, please ask. For fastest response, email me revmeyer2000[at]yahoo[dot]com
