Reed’s brother, 26-year-old Chauncey Reed, was riding in the front passenger seat. Chauncey was taken into custody, and has been charged with capital murder and aggravated assault on a peace officer. Investigators said his actions during the altercation resulted in Elliot’s death. It is unclear if he was wounded.
