Space exploration is waste of money and time:philip964 wrote:Today President Trump will be signing the NASA Transition Authorization Act of 2017.
Interesting that a bill would be required to switch NASA's mission from climate change research and helping Muslims have a better self image to space exploration.

NSA should have the following priorities
1) Explore and Defense Against Asteroids
2) Weather Forecasting and Monitoring (NOAA)
3) Keep the access to the space assured to US
4) Protect the Space Assets
5) Keep, maintain the and enhance the space Assets

Some more interesting history. Lebanon has not conducted census since 1932. It also appears there is very little information maintained on their citizens and they really do not know who is there and who isn't.

Small History Lesson 101: after the declaration of the Sate of Israel, not a single Jew was forced to leave any Arab or Muslim Country. As a matter of fact, the State of Israel, was offering immediate Citizenship for any Jew worldwide with 0 time residency requirement in the disputed land of Palestine. In addition, hundreds thousands of Jews from the Arab countries were transported to the declared stated with all costs paid.rotor wrote:You are correct but Assad is not trying to flee to our country. My point in bringing up that there are only 9 Jews left in Syria is that these people may not be that great to let in here. Bad enough we let Nazi's come in after WWII but these people have proven their anti-Semitic and anti-Christian behavior in the past, they actually are the present ISIS and do we really need a bunch of anti-Christian and anti-Jews coming in here? We have no legal obligation to bring them in. It is terrible seeing their children in the videos that the media portrays but is it a benefit to us to let them in? Aren't their children also doing the beheadings of Christians ( No Jews are left)? Perhaps Saudi Arabia will open their doors-ha. I personally support Trumps ban and it is one of the themes of his election.Beiruty wrote: Assad the father and the son, both are true Dictators of the 21st Century. In addition, till date there are hundred thousands of Jews still living in Arab countries such as Morocco or elsewhere in the Arab and the Muslim world. I do still remember in the neighborhood where I grew up we had Jewish cemetery, and till date there are hundreds of Jewish Lebanese Citizens who never wanted to immigrate to declared state of Israel.

No they do. All travelers on commercial vehicles (air and sea) (exiting US) manifesto are delivered to DHS. So if a name is not on the list, he is still in the ole USA.Vol Texan wrote:One thing I wish would get changed: We need to have passport control to LEAVE this country, not just for entering.
I travel the world over, on a regular basis. I often have ~30 international trips per year. Some are great locations: Singapore, Thailand, Oman, Italy; and others remind you of every Jason Bourne movie you've ever seen: Kazakhstan, Russia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nigeria.
One thing that EVERY one of these countries has in common is that you need to check in with immigration and customs whether you're coming or going. That way, they make sure that a person who is in-country temporarily actually leaves when they are supposed to. If that person doesn't leave, at least they're on a list somewhere of people who've overstayed and are subject to removal (or worse).
The US has no idea who overstays their visa, because there is no mechanism for checking when someone leaves. I hope President Trump can implement this at all our international points of entry / exit.

Perhaps because these wonderful people that we feel so sorry for would kill their Jewish and Christian neighbors if they could. This is not an anti-Muslim post but just speaks to the reality of how non-Muslims have been treated in some Muslim countries.
I have no problem with Trump's ban on certain populations.
Wonder why previous true fascist regime was working so hard to help the "rebels" overthrow one leader who has been protecting Syrian Christians....

Don't believe the media. I suspect this effects far fewer than they portray. Liberals just love to have a cause to rally around. They are masters at overblowing issues.
Properly vetting process under any administration is valid and legal. We are living in in the land of law, not favoritism. One cannot get a permanent residency in US so easily, it takes more than 2-yrs.
