Re: Using you Concealed plastic as identification at places.
I went to a Rangers game near the start of the season this year with my father. My DL had recently expired, and I had been carrying the paper copy the DPS gives you until your new one arrives. Long story short I only brought in the insert from my wallet, WITHOUT the paper DL, so I had to show my exp...

Backup Gun
So I've been looking at a lot of "mouse guns" lately, ultimately to purchase one in the next few coming months as a backup to my Kimber Ultra CDP II. I recently came across the Kimber Solo pistols. I like the Solo CDP but am not sure if it's even out yet. Anyways, does anyone have any expe...

NRA Member ID
Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes. On my NRA membership card my ID number is something like 123456789. On all the correspondence I get from the NRA my member ID number shows as 000123456789, with the 3 zeros in front. Which one is it? Or does it not make any difference at al...

Re: Crimson Trace Lasergrips Adive
Well, I called up the Kimber store, and they were able to get one for me. It's in the mail Monday!

Pawpaw,
Thanks, looks like I'll just keep checking their website until they have some.

Re: Crimson Trace Lasergrips Adive
Pawpaw, I had already been leaning towards black as well--I just think it looks better overall. I think you agreeing with my initial feeling settles it for me, black it is. Also, what did you end up doing about the ambidextrous thumb safety? Gun smith? Or does someone sell a smaller version that can...

Re: Crimson Trace Lasergrips Adive
I saw it a lot on Amazon and eBay. When I checked CTC's and others' sites, there was no indication of it, however, I just wanted to double check with members here to see if I was missing anything.
Thanks for the reply. Now to choose a color....

Re: Proper CH *size*
Well most button-downs are already "tall on me anyways because I'm short... And I guess thinking more into it, the issue really comes from the fact that it's not the bulge or anything, but more or less that the butt of the gun, even on a compact/officer's model, that winds up sticking out, and ...

Re: Proper CH *size*
My problem is that I just won't sacrifice my dress style (again button-downs 95% of the time). So I just have to be more cautious, and maybe experiment with different holsters and positions more. My friend who also has his CHL says he can't even notice my Kimber when I wear a button-down, but hey I'...

Re: Proper CH *size*
I'm 5'7", 135-140lbs, and I seem to have trouble concealing even my Kimber Ultra CDP II. I've found it just about impossible wearing t-shirts, especially if I bend at the waist any bit, there goes the shirt up over the butt. If I'm not wearing a t-shirt, I'm wearing a tailored button down dress...

Crimson Trace Lasergrips Adive
I'm about to purchase some nice Crimson Trace Lasergrips for my Kimber Ultra CDP II, and have been looking around at several sites to purchase from. I guess my impulse to buy them just so happened to line up with their $50.00 rebate offer!!! Anyways, what are these (new?) Hi-Brite grips I'm reading ...

Mag Carrier Question
I've been carrying for maybe three years now, but have never had a magazine carrier, or spare mags on my person for that matter. Well, I just ordered an entire new holster and mag carrier from Crossbreed, and I am a little unsure on something. In a situation such as a traffic stop, where an officer ...

Holster Choice Question
I carry a Kimber Ultra CDP, and have been using a Don Hume holster for quite some time now. I don't like it. The single metal clip allows the holster to shift forwards and backwards freely to some degree, and I feel the butt of the pistol sticks out just a bit when I sit down. I want to order a new ...
