Re: New here, have a question
i called DPS today and talked to a representative. i told her my information and she too saw the "not elgible" message, but from everything she had, she said she sees no reason why it says not elgible, she kept telling me it takes 3 months, but i kept telling her i knew that and how that wasnt the issue. the issue was that it didnt even say "application sent" or anything.

Re: New here, have a question
When I enter my correct information, it says "The data you have submitted indicates you may not be eligible for this service."
When I change one number in my social security to purposely see what error i get, it says "The data you have submitted does not match what is in our records."
And when I submit my correct information BUT put in a bogus PIN, it still says ""The data you have submitted indicates you may not be eligible for this service."

Re: New here, have a question
on the top of the login page (before filling/submitting), it says "Your application status will be available online while your application is being processed by DPS. You may contact DPS at 1-800-224-5744 for more information."
so does that mean that even though I got my pin early because I paid online, because i just mailed it in last week, it won't be trackable until they open the package and process it?
has no one else Applied and Paid online?
edit: is Simone someone who is nice @ DPS?

I clicked on CHL, not the instructor link.

New here, have a question
hello all, had a question about my application status.
I filled out my CHL application online, and paid online with CC as well. Maybe a week later I received my packet, which had a white paper with all of my information on it, including a PIN.
Took the class 6/14, mailed 6/16 certified, it said "accepted" on usps website on 6/19.
I checked my status today at the texas dps website, and when i fill out my info and pin, and press submit, it says "The data you have submitted indicates you may not be eligible for this service. Please verify the data submitted is correct. If you still cannot proceed, please contact DPS at 1-800-224-5744 or email chl@txdps.state.tx.us for more information."
What gives? I assumed because I had my pin already I'd be able to track my status. Is there a problem, or is there a waiting period for my pin to be active?
