The very clear bodycam video in the OP illustrates several points that are worth noting:

- Gunfights sometimes require long range engagement
- Having team members engage a suspect from multiple angles is very effective
- Spare magazines are important. Lots of rounds may be exchanged and reloading may be required (at least one officer did reload)
- Communication with team members during the incident is critical and very well done by the officers here
- Cease fire should be called when any team member believes the threat is ended
- A fatally wounded suspect can still put up strong resistance and can still be capable of killing
- Persons involved in gunfights may be hit but not realize it right away (HFD medic told one officer to check himself for wounds. In this case he was not hit but had been injured during a collision with the suspect’s vehicle. He still engaged the suspect despite his injuries.)
