I understand the Feds train with their carry ammo.
Another instance of government waste.

While qualifications must be done with carry rounds and some exercises are best done with that ammo, there's no need to use the expensive stuff for everything when a fairly close equivalent (in terms of recoil and point of impact in relation to point of aim) FMJ round is available.
