I have read the same and even had some friends experience it. I have never seen it happen with my own eyes and I am around handgun shooters more than the average joe. Humans just weren't designed for holes. If you put enough holes in them, they will stop bothering you. Your liver, heart, lungs, and aorta could care less what the diameter is.
