Yeah, all of their imposed rules/laws/whatever seem to be doing absolutely nothing to fix their crime rate. But they're so bull-headed, they don't see it.

The only thing that is accomplished with gun control is that law-abiding citizens cannot protect themselves and criminals are emboldened and empowered by the fact that their victims can't defend themselves. The only people that stop carrying guns are those with no desire to commit crimes. Criminals don't care about the law anyway. Why would they care if they have a small felony weapons charge when they're committing Grand Theft, Grand Theft Auto, Petty Theft, Assault, Rape, or even Murder. A minor felony charge is nothing to them compared to what they can get otherwise.
