Re: Some of my collection

The blueing is coming off. The entire line of sig 550-556 do the same thing I found out, unfortunately after my purchase. I even was in contact with Sig about it, they do not cover it under warranty.

Re: Refinishing Milsurp guns

I use DuraCoat for my metal refinishing. They sell a kit that attaches to a pressured "spray paint" can basically, and have about 500 color choices. I use mine through an airbrush.

Re: Weight Loss thread....

My only advice is to be able to not work out, eat, and not gain weight. Once you have figured out where you need to be to "mantain", you can more easily be mentally aware of the diet you need to lose weight. Then when you throw working out on top of it, you're good to go. Good luck, i'm cu...

Re: Some of my collection

Thanks, I was unaware that the design allows extracted shells to hit the extraction port/side of the receiver, effectively removing the rifles blueing. Since I do not want a rifle which is going to start rusting itself out over time, I am currently selling it on gunbroker. It's a bit heavier in the ...

Re: Getting bumped off the net.....HELP

There's a setting in the properties for your dialup networking which has a disconnect after a certain amount of idle time.

Re: Refinishing Milsurp guns

Now that it's hot again, the best way to get a majority of cosmo out of your wooden stock is to wrap it as tight as you can without ripping, with newspaper. Putting rubber bands around it to keep it in place nice and snug. Place that badboy out in the sun to cook all day long. Unwrap it, wipe her do...

Re: BIG GUN SHOW AT RELIANT 17th and 18th

The show wasn't too bad. Lot of vendors will starting to pack up somewhat early on Sunday, mainly because there was no business going on. Went with my father, he picked up a Colt Diamondback. I was thinking about dumping off my Sig 556 for something I acctually shoot, but they seem to have dropped q...
