Re: 9mm subguns and the power of marketing

Sub in 9mm would be fun but if I where going for a pistol caliber carbine I think I would go for one of these after shooting it. I would want a pistol caliber with a little more thump! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfVPEQfmHEA

Re: Open Carry question

After further research it seems to me on or about your person generally means " within arm reach while in the car".

Is that the interpretation most of you are coming to as well. I just don't want to assume anything. You know what they say about assume.

Thanks

Open Carry question

Quick question on open carry. I know it has to be in a shoulder or belt holster on or about your person from what I have read very briefly about the new law. My question is what about a holstered pistol on your center console or the seat next to you in your car. Would I assume this is on or about yo...

Re: Alternative to LC9s

A big if but if she is always purse carrying how about a s&w 3913,3914, 908 or 1911 officer in 9mm. My wife loves our 908 and her 1911 in 9mm. Bigger and heavier? Yes but if she has one of those duffel bags, sorry i mean giant purses like my wife it shouldn't be a problem to carry.

Re: First time with Underwood ammo

Love their 10mm ammo! Same quality and velocities as buffalo bore but much cheaper. Unlike double tap they meet the claimed velocities.great stuff!

Re: Thinking of trying a .40

I have a glock 27. Great gun! I have put over 15k rounds through it without ever a ftf or fte.

But now i own 10mm and while the 40 is great the 10mm is in my mind the best all around semi auto round.

Try a gen 4 29 ! I have the 20 and i am adding a gen 4 29 and 40 mos in the near Future.

Re: Pondering an XDs

I have shot both in 9mm but only the 3.3 in 45.

I liked the 4.0 9mm longer barrel but same length grip. It is a little bit more front heavy but to me it was very easy to shoot. Think of it as a polymer cco. It is on my list in 9mm or 45 in 4inch.

Re: 44 mag hog load

Looks good! Those 240 jsp did the job. Like i said no need for fancy high end ammo with a 44, especially with a rifle length barrel. Good hunt!

Re: 44 mag hog load

Only shot 2 with the glock 27 with 180umc remington. One was a head shot and the the other was a double tap while the hog was on the run. Both shots struck the hog quartering away. Both rounds clearly exited and were never recovered. Hog dropped after 5 feet. I can tell you that the 10mm will go thr...

Re: 44 mag hog load

Well my buddy drops them with a blackhawk with cheap magtech 240 soft points. 200 pound porkers are not a problem with my 40 s&w with cheap 180fmj and my 10mm drops them easily as well. Can't tell if they where shot with my 10mm or his 44. Now if you are hunting those huge 300pound plus hogs you...

Re: Glock 29 Gen4

If you order online in bulk it really isn't much different than 45acp price wise.

Armscor or freedom munitions is good practice ammo and Underwood is the best performance ammo.

Re: Federal 380 HST Issues

I carry 124 hst in all my 9mms but this is a no go for me in 380. I wish Federal would make a HST load specifically for the 10mm.

Check it out. Nothing special. Good expansion but limited penetration. I think I rather have the hydra shok.

Re: big gun

Most powerful i have shot is the 454. Largest caliber 480. 454 is to much for me after 3 cylinders. The 480 wasn't as bad but still a handfull. I think 45 colt +p is as far as i want to ever really go. I can handle that for a full range outing.
