Anybody in need of a good chair

It's well worn, but comfortable, with little to no stains on it. Well, to make a long story short, I got my plastic today in the mail today. It only took 112 days to get it. :banghead: Hopefully my wally walk will come soon.

Re: April Applications

Today while eating a lousy sandwich at lunch today, I looked up my application, as is my daily custom. Getting ready for another disappointment, I looked up at my laptop screen and saw the most 7 beautiful words I have ever seen; Application Completed - license issued or certificate active. Since I ...

Re: Talking to the police

Lucky for me, I have a younger brother that's a lawyer, so I can call him 24/7. You can give them your basic info. such as name, address and etc. but you can also say "Officer I would be more than happy to answer any and all of your questions, but I wish to have my attorney present." You n...

Talking to the police

While reading a post by longtooth about why he carries 24/7, I came across this video on the same blog that he linked to. It's about why you should not talk to the police without your attorney present. http://www.regent.edu/admin/media/schlaw/LawPreview/ The funny thing is, my younger brother was ju...

I hate my wife...

Ok, so after months of waiting for my plastic, a letter from DPS comes in the mail today. I felt a piece of plastic inside it, with my heart racing, I tear into the envolope to pull out my new piece of plastic. When I looked at it, I couldn't believe my eyes; it was my wife's driver license. :mad5 A...

Re: April Applications

Well today I made a phone call to DPS and talked to a friendly chap named William. He said that all the bg checks came back good and they were in the "final process" of getting me my license. From the looks of it, I might be getting it pretty soon, but I do have to wonder what they mean by...

Today is my 94th day of waiting. I'm debating with myself whether to call or write my state rep. Maybe I'll do both tomorrow. :headscratch

Well, today I redid my finger prints using FAST, also I mailed them back via registered mail. Looks like I get to update my profile but for the wrong reason. :banghead:

Redoing fingerprints

Tomorrow, I'm going to have my finger prints redone. I'm going to go to FAST and have them done. Are my rejected finger prints the only thing holding me back from getting my plastic or do they still have to complete the back ground check? :???:

Finger prints rejected

Well today, after waiting 76 days, I get a letter from DPS saying they have rejected my finger prints. :cryin Is Fingerprint Applicant Services of Texas (FAST) better than ink and paper; is it faster or what? I would like to know. Also, once I submit them, I guess I have another 60 to 90 or more day...
