WTS: Nikko 5000 20ga OU mod/full
My Dad has this Nikko 5000 20ga he wants to sell. Excellant condition with the Nikko case. mod/full chokes and a 3" chamber. I don't think he's ever used it, he picked it up in a trade when he was in outside sales years ago. Condition is like new. It has the Golden Eagle hat pin that I guess ca...

Is there a comfortable way to carry?
Got my chl a short while back, still haven't carried anywhere except to the gun store. My intent was not to carry all the time anyway. But the inside waist is ok as long as I don't try and sit down. Best thing I've found so far is a outside waist at 4. Still if I sit at the edge of a sofa or in a si...

It either gets greased or replaced .

Re: Feeling bad for my wife
Writing a letter does nothing but tie up the process for everyone else. If everyone else is taking 60 days and you are at more 100 days, then make a fuss. But that's not the case.

Re: No Rhyme or Reason
It has become obvious to me and I am sure to all of you waiting here that there is no rhyme or reason to the method used by the DPS to process our applications. Some people are waiting over 100 days and others getting their licenses in short time-no wonder tempers and patience are short. I think th...

Re: One small step closer today
They received my app with cashiers check on 5/15...got my PIN on 6/19...maybe it means they have more folks on the job. Wishful thinking for sure. Pins seem to be all over the place. My wait took forever, mine was longest at the time when I compared myself to others. But I only spent about 18 days ...

Re: App sent off today
Check cleared on 5/18... getting closer I think you mean 6/18? Getting closer... prolly not. My guess is another 90 days at least, probably more. You should consider putting your timeline in your sig like many do. Others can match up the dates and feel your pain. It does heal though! good luck, Rob

Re: After nearly 6 months...
Congrats!! i wonder how much time the fingerprint thing cost you. Of course the faster you got it back in the better, and I wonder if they have a special stack so when they get your prints the process doesn't lose much time.
Either way, water under the bridge!!

Re: Background affect processing time?
An Honorable Discharge or Active Military seems to process a bit faster. The online application seems to speed it up. Your address history also seems to have an impact. If you haved lived in the same house for 30 years, it will probably go faster than if you have lived in 10 different counties. Oth...

If you are lucky you'll get it by the bow season, but probably closer to the gun deer season.
Good Luck!

I was about 90 days, but with more people applying I think this will go up.
