Re: Enforceability of mask requirements

Had lunch today at a Tex-Mex place called Salsa Tex Mex. The sign on their door said masks not required but are suggested for the safety of other guests. About 50/50 entered with no mask. I already had one on so I just kept it on. Next time I go there I will be leaving that useless rag in the truck.

He came down with it first, and then the other four of us all came down with it on the same day. We have all been wearing surgical masks and distancing since this started. We don't even have to work close to each other much. Masks don't do anything.

If that's too anecdotal for you, and you still think they work, I have another question. I've had the virus now, and the current science says I am immune for at least another 6 months; possible for years. Why do I have to keep wearing the stupid thing? Millions of people have now been vaccinated and are no longer at risk. Why do they have to keep wearing the stupid things?

Let people who are concerned wear the mask. Let people who are not concerned not wear them. Same as a gun. This has gone on long enough.

I agree, with the exception of kicking someone out based on skin color or other protected class (legally speaking).

My only question is whether a business owner has to put on their big boy/girl pants and ask the person to leave first before they can call the police for trespassing.
I think they can call the cops but until you are ask to leave and refuse, it is not trespassing. The cops will ask you to leave instead of the store manager.

Restaurants have been doing the mask to table thing since all along. I think it was required during the mandate. It’s pretty hard to eat with a mask though.
I realize that but I just thought it was pretty silly to require a mask while walking to a table where you would then remove the mask. Same air, same HVAC system to circulate the virus around. Some of this stuff has thrown all common sense out the windows. If the windows can still be opened. :smilelol5:
I told a story earlier in the thread about watching two women in their 60's eating with masks on. They would lower the mask, take a bite and then put the mask back to chew. It was the funniest thing ever.

She walked in and ran out as if she had seen a pack of attacking rabid dogs. The place was very busy, had a waiting list of 35 minutes. Because of objections to the unmasked we decided to go to Noah's in Bacliff just to appease her.

Noahs was pretty busy but the staff was following the masked protocol, They were able to seat us and the food was very good.

I don't think that the no mask wearing at Topwater is hurting them much, they were at capacity. I was irritated because I really wanted to check the place out. Their business their rules. Same for Noahs
I have to ask. Do you think being from Kalifornia, they have been instilled with an extra dose of Covid fear?
