Re: New Braunfels Wurstfest: GUN SIGN=RED (changed with rene
It looks like the Wurstfest Association has changed their status. I was updating my info on establishment licensure and found the the license changed from BLUE to RED: License #: BG188269 Trade Name: WURSTFEST ASSOCIATION OF NEW BRAUNFELS Owner: WURSTFEST ASSOCIATION OF NEW BRAUNFELS Location Addres...

Excellent Traffic Stop from Schertz Police
I was coming home after midnight from a gig last weekend, and was heading north on IH35 in Schertz. I got pulled over for a malfunctioning taillight. Never mind the fact that I just bought the truck brand new a few weeks ago. Anyway, I followed the usual protocol to put the officer at ease (interior...

Re: Angry Parent At Jr High Football Game
My wife's ex is one of those. The 2 boys played a lot of baseball and he had minor league experience and expected his kids to follow in his foot steps. More than once he went peeling out of the parking lot after a lost game. Purplehood's observations are exactly right. And, this type of behavior is...

Would you mind checking the status of that sign when you get there? A complaint form was filed earlier this week.

Re: New Braunfels Wurstfest: GUN SIGN=BLUE
Just got back from the Wurstfest grounds. There is a 51% sign arrogantly posted at the gate, but the license is the only thing that counts. I just quietly and politely ignored it. No sense in raising a stink over it. I am tempted to file a complaint with the TABC about it, though. I didn't see any 3...

New Braunfels Wurstfest: GUN SIGN=BLUE
I just wanted to share this bit of info. If you want to go to Wurstfest, the TABC Public Inquiry System shows that their license is for less-than-51% on-premises consumption. Carry away. License #: BG188269 Trade Name: WURSTFEST ASSOCIATION OF NEW BRAUNFELS Owner: WURSTFEST ASSOCIATION OF NEW BRAUNF...

Re: How many choose to carry a revolver rather than a semi a
My EDC usually rotates between three different Glocks, but for "quick run to the store" events, I'll put my Taurus 85 Ultralite with Buffalo Bore +P rounds into my pocket. ...what's the weight of those slugs on the Buff. Bore and how's the recoil with the Ultralite??? 158g LSWCHP. They ca...

Re: Status of Campus Carry and Parking Lot (in layman's term
I'll take this victory. I already work at a place where carry inside the buildings is prohibited by statute (community college), but it would be nice to have the option to use the parking lot again. Since being licensed, I had to eschew the parking lot and park on the street. Not exactly a hardship,...

Re: Work Policy's worth looking into
Here's a fun policy to peruse: Concealed Weapons Law To maintain the safety and security of ACC employees, students and the public, the College prohibits the possession of weapons on its property, including all ACC vehicles, at any time. It is unlawful to carry a concealed weapon on ACC premises. A ...

Re: 51% lookup now available online @ TABC website!
This is great! Now we don't have to bother the TABC for this information. I'm sure they have more important things to do. Hopefully, this will free up some time for them.
