A modified "Wally Walk"

Well, i spent the morning figuring out which shirts would work, then placed my Glock 30 .45 acp in its' Galco holster, and noted that the handle pooched out a bit to obvious. Not wanting to admit defeat, I tried it with the gun handle forward, and whalla. No more of a bulge than my PPC-6800 phone in its' case on the other hip. I had struck a pleasing balance. Now to make it past the wife. AHEM!!! With a nasty glare from her, and a few "pretty pleases" thrown in, off the family went. Our first stop was The Woodlands Mall to buy my wife a new "Rumor" phone. Parked at the Macy's, walked the full length of the mall to the Radio Shack and back. Was there about an hour. Next was a walking tour of "Market Street" here in The Woodlands. Sat at La Madeline's with the wife for a relaxing patio snack while the kids tore up Borders for about an hour. No signs or nothing. No 30.06, nothing. Did not however go into the restraunts with bars. I know some are 51% having been to them before and did not want the headache. Made the loop there at Market Street, tooled around the art show they had. Time there was 2 hours. Went next to Luby's for an hour by The Woodlands Mall. No signs at the Luby's either. Next was Academy on Rayford/Sawdust. Got my little daughter a pair of shoes for the pool. About 20 minutes. Tooled up the highway to ,....you guessed it,....WALLY WORLD :clapping: Walked in, went to the mens room (no stall needed), and found the wife/kids in the kids clothes area sifting through socks. This is when I think time stood still. Went to the snack food aisle while they shopped for lunch's and such, got a small bag of nacho chips, and "nacho cheese" flavored cheese whiz, checked out, and waited for the family. Seeing as our WM has a McD's and we do not eat there because of their corporate politics, this was the closest I was gonna get to fullfilling the "nacho" requirements. Man I sure love cheese whiz. Sat by the glasses shop on a bench, and chowed down waiting for the wife to show up. I unloaded the basket, reloaded it, and put it all in the trunk. Total time in WM, 1hr 37 minutes. Did not get a box of WWB's, because i had just got a case of .45 acp "Starfire's". Then came home. I will need to place a sports sock on the handle the way the gun/holster rode. Sweat and/or chaffing issues in a hot humid Houston metro area was the only problem I encountered where the gun handle was positioned.
I think a few people wondered why I had two minor bulges (phone - left/gun-right) during my modified wally walk, but generally my impression was everybody was in their own narcissistic worlds to care what "I" was doing. Bottom of the food chain they may be, but I did not have any urges to "cap" anyone. Walked by several LEO's during the "modified Wally Walk", nothing (but then I did not smell like doughnuts either "rlol" ). Am I glad I got my CHL, heck yeh!!! The wally walk just seemed anti-climactic. My visual radar was going, but mostly scanning for signs barring my entry armed. Scanning for bad guy's , not really. Hot women, yep. Guilty as charged. :anamatedbanana . Maybe I was meant to carry.
