Galveston County has fewer than 1 million population, and the Pleasure Pier is less than 75 acres (it's more like 3 acres). So even if this section were still in effect, it would not apply to the Pleasure Pier or the Kemah Boardwalk.

It was actually tailored to Six Flags in Houston, which at the time was the only place that met these conditions.

Nothing in Galveston that a visitor would go to has a valid 30.06 sign, only some credit unions.

Actually, if you go back and read the transcripts, it was a rep from San Antonio who tailored it to cover Sea World. Apparently they were afraid that you would pop a cap in Shamu and mount him on your wall....
