Re: Obama: D.C. Gun Ban is Constitutional

We don't always get what we want, especially in politics. I am going to vote for McCain to insure that my vote counts against the socalist ideals of Obama. I don't agree with McCain on all the issues, but I sure don't agree with anything Obama supports. I would encourage everyone with even the least...

Re: Kay Bailey Hutchison

I agree about the bail out issue. It would be hard for me to support a Washington insider against a known value such as Gov. Perry. My democrat rep Lampson did'nt even vote for the bail out. I don't care for the Gov's stance on the Trans-Tex corridor or toll roads, but like Charles said he has reall...

Re: THe Newest DPS Excuse

We are in Galveston County. The jest of the letter made it seem that the entire DPS orginazation had been shifted to support of the "IKE" recovery.

I do wonder if any one out of the zone got the same letter???

THe Newest DPS Excuse

My wife got a letter from DPS today stating that her CHL is being delayed due to hurricane "IKE". What a great excuse for an already backed up system.

Wonder if the excuse will be good for years like all the Katrina excuses.

I guess she will just wait like most others.

I see your problem. You know how many guns you have. This is a major problem. You must contiue to purchase more guns so that you lose track of the exact number you have, then your problem will be cured.

Re: Jersey City law shot down

It is amazing how the liberal mind works. The left always wants to limit freedom of law abiding citizens under the guise of reducing crime.

Shooting Place near Granbury

I have a cousin living in Granbury, actually Pecan Plantation. I go to see her fairly often and she also serves as my hurricane evacuation point. My question is, are there any nice places to shoot close to the Granbury area. I would love to find a good place to spend time while I am in the area. Tha...

Re: 10 Year License

I don't mind taking the class every 5 years. I may be a hassle, but the enormous responsibility of carrying a weapon warrants the extra effort. I like to do it if nothing else to be well informed of the laws. In five years the legislature can change a lot.

Re: pistol sight picture acquisition

I have had the same issues all my life. I finally just started practicing and forcing myself to focus only on the front sight. After alot of dry fire at home, my sight is getting in focus the majority of the time. When I start losing the front sight focus, I tell myself to stop, slow down, and re-fo...

With our "unbiased" media, you never know the whole story. Just seems to me like there is more here and the media was trying to get the "assault rifle" thing out there.

Re: Article: Civilian Response to Active Shooter Situations

I thought this was a good article. I do not agree with the badge thing at all. I want to be concealed and do not want a badge. If I am in the middle of a fight, I will take my chances that it will be finished long before the police arrive. I believe the situation would be rare that I would have to e...
