Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

"Normal" size box (not a bunch of air in this one) with 20 packets left on doorstep last Friday. May 9 order? If so, an even 10 weeks from date mailed until date received.

Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

Neal -

Lotsaluck with that one, especially if it's your first and you have no "back-up" inventory of packets. Thankfully, I'm not in a bind just now as it's been a full 2 months today on my May 9 order and they are still not here. Your best bet in the meantime will probably be to try and get your students to obtain the packets directly from DPS.

I put in another presently unneeded order a few days ago for another 20 of each "just in case" - and to hopefully get packets delivery in ... August? September? October? FWIW, I sometimes find need to "canabalize" a few packets each month to take care of renewal students who, for various reasons, do not yet have their packets in hand on the day of class.

so we ain't the only ones waitin' and waintin' and waintin' ...

Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

The packets for the order on Friday, May 9 has still not arrived. Assuming they got it in the mail on Monday, the 12'th, my calendar indicates that order has been "in the system" for 7 full "work weeks" - so far.

Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

Packet order from March 30 finally arrived today. Reeeeeeediculousy! Assembly required, again.
Their delays put the scare on me a couple of months ago and I started putting more orders "in the system". Still waitin' for 20 from 4-18-08 order, 20 from 4-21-08 and 20 from 5-9-08 ...

Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

Order for 20 packets submitted back in March finally arrived last Saturday (May 17).

They had used a box from some other shipment and had not removed or redacted the prior shipping label. The new label said "Time Sensitive Material" and evidently had been floating around in the mail since shipment in late April - somewhere between Austin, Oklahoma City and Minnesota ...

And this one was back to "assembly required". ;-)

Packets on order mailed 2-21-08 arrived today. Mailbox to mailbox: 7 1/2 weeks. And yes, they were assembled this time.

So hey, I did not run completely out - just got a few left now with the photo holders that require the itty-bitty signatures ...

Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

I did some back-tracking on paperwork last night and it they still owe me packets from an order mailed on February 21. And yep, the passport photo holders in the last shipment had the window so low there is only room for itty-bitty signatures ... :banghead:

Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

"We also really need a # that we can get thru to someone on."

You got that right. I believe she recorded that message around the first of the year - maybe made a New Year's resolution that she was not going to answer the phone at all in 2008?

Re: Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

Yep, the packets are even slower. I remminded 'em in that letter that I'd still not recieved the packets from the prior order. And still haven't. But, remember the letter said they are being sent to us as a courtesy.

Sloooooooow(er) Processing of TR-100 Orders

An order of TR-100's received several weeks ago did not have the normal "re-order" form in it. I promptly called and left word on you-know-whos voice mail twice, once on a Monday then again on a Friday without any return call. Desperately needing more, I sat down and sent a a letter request for 30 more, along with a check for $150. The 30 certs and a copy of my letter did come in the mail yesterday. At the bottom of it was a highlighted note to the effect of "Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing of supplies." :???:
