Re: Planning has started for this year's event
Chas, Definitely interested in attending, probably my wife and I ( 2 people ). I took the CHL course with Elgato per your recommendation. Very nice guy and thorough instructor, just as you said. He told me all about the festivities the last couple years at PSC. Looking forward to the event with anti...

Re: Training videos: ECQC, Knife/hand, tac. pistol/shotgun/rifle
I just watched some previews of "Die Less Often 1&2" and they seem like pretty good videos. Anyone have experience with these training videos or perhaps Dog Brother's training? How do these videos compare to other training videos? Thanks.

Re: Training videos: ECQC, Knife/hand, tac. pistol/shotgun/rifle
I have Suarez DLO and most of the Shivworks DVD's. The Suarez DVD is pretty long, seems like it could have been edited better. The Shivworks handgun DVD has some drills that are very good. Thanks, I'm going to get the Shivworks set. I like what I've seen so far on the site. You could try renting a ...

Training videos: ECQC, Knife/hand, tac. pistol/shotgun/rifle
Anyone have any experience with any of the training videos that are offered by some of the well known self defense training schools? I'm going to buy a few videos and would like some recommendations if there are any out there. I figure that I can't take classes that often due to time and money const...

Re: Free Advanced training
I'm definitely interested. I could probably make it out there once every couple months. What kind of training? Full ECQC, Pistol, etc? That sounds great!!! I'm thinking about ordering a few videos...a little cheaper than taking the full course but if we had a few people to train with it would be wor...

Re: Texas Training schools
Any other Forum members planning to be at Hoffner's 9:00 a.m. seminar this Saturday at Pruett's Guns & Ammo in northwest Harris County? I know of two, but wondering about a show of hands so we might be able locate each other, and maybe have lunch after. I'm gonna try and make it. Hopefully I'll...

Re: Texas Training schools
I personally think trying different systems is a very good thing. It allows you to apply your own judgment about what is the best in each, and what you think might not be the best and can be discarded. Heck, no single approach is perfect, and certainly not perfect for you as an individual. But it c...

Re: Texas Training schools
I'm looking to start some advanced training and would like to know if anybody has any recommendations of what trainer/facilities offers the "better" courses. I was impressed with Howe and Yeager's background as well as Hoffner's. These are the main individuals I reviewed becasue they are c...

Range near Lake Jackson, S.Houston/Brazoria/Galveston County
Hey, I'm new to Lake Jackson (as well as this forum) and looking for a public range not to far away. I guess I may have to drive some distance but would like to stay within the S. Houston, Brazoria/Galveston County area. I'm looking for a range that may also offer CHL training as well as some advanc...
