Re: Portland out of control
Let it burn! The voters of Portland brought this on, let'em all and their cesspool city burn! Unfortunately, just like every other city this is occurring, there are good people who simply got taken over by the left. While they could have stood up to oppose it, it was an insidious takeover by slick ...

Re: Questionable comment in Outdoor Life article on AR accuracy
Will the last round impact differently? I don't think so.
I think that the first round hand cycled into the chamber will impact differently since it lays in the chamber differently than the rounds cycled into the chamber by the rifle itself.

What Montgomery said. Go with them to the park, and don't just sit on a park bench with your face in your phone like 99% of parents I see in the park. Learning your surroundings and situational awareness can be fun. Ask your child questions. The man we saw walking up...what did he have in his hands?...

Re: Glock 44 - .22 LR pistol
The only Glock I, and a buttload of other folks, have really really wanted Glock to produce is a full size, single stack (10+1 or so), .45.
They have come out with everything but that

Re: hog hunting with 10mm pistol: 180gr or 200gr?
I have found no difference in effectiveness between the 180 Grain Hornady XTP and the 200 Grain Hornady XTP on hogs, with the 180 doing about 1250 fps and the 200 doing about 1150 fps. The tree behind the hog might be deader with the 200 than the 180, but both of them exited on hogs up to 250 pounds...

Re: A great discovery for higher velocity 147 gr. 9mm loads.
If you want to put safely put some "yeehah" in your 147 Grain 9mm Handloads, look at Vhitavhouri's load data for the 147 Grain Hornady XTP-HP with 3N37 or N105.
Please follow all safe reloading practices.

Re: Pistol Caliber Carbine Roundup
I honesty don't know why people waste their time and money on PCCs.
Unless your range forbids shooting 5.56 Carbines (many indoor ranges allow them now), there is no advantage to them when a 5.56 with about three times the effective range is the same size as a PCC.

Re: Reasons to get a 1911 and which one?
I have had a lot of reliability issues with 1911s, plain ones and fancy ones. Those words have been uttered about every gun ever made, by one man or another. I've seen glocks and M&P's fail, even a couple of sig's and XD's. If you "have had a lot of reliability issues" with multiple 1...

Re: Reasons to get a 1911 and which one?
I currently EDC with 9mm and .45 Shields and Mod 2 Subcompacts, not all at the same time, one at a time in rotation. I have been toying with the idea of getting a 1911. Some of you guys have many, and some of you EDC with them. Why do I need/want one? Why do you have one or more? If I do decide to ...

The easiest solution is to issue Mk262 to everybody. No new barrels, bolts, or magazines.

Re: TX: Dallas man goes back to bed after shooting burglar.
Truthfully I think he should have called cops at the moment he saw someone fiddling with his shed lock & stayed in the house. Having a weapon is no reason to get out of the house & confront. I’ve heard of courage in a bottle but there is also courage in a barrel. Shoot over what? A lawn mow...
