The Texas profieiency can be used for the Florida License. The thing I liked about the Florida License was the fact I did not have to waste my time or money taking a class. I know that might sound pretty petty, but, I have had so much weapons training and use of weapons in the Military, I think I am good to go.TX_shooter wrote:I also thought of getting the Florida license. I believe the Texas proficiency can be used for the training requirement, but the Florida License is $107 initial and renewal. Utah is a little more up front because of the class, but the renewal is only $10 with no class requirement.Emmett wrote:I don't know if any one has thought about the Florida License. I carry on the Florida License, if you are Ex Military, all you have to do is send them a copy of your DD214 along with your application and Fingerprint card, you are not required to have any class as long as you are Ex Military. So, for me it was a lot cheaper then the Texas, I didn't have to pay extra for the class, and it is good for 5 years.
Just another idea for everyone that has not thought about it.
