So is this a case of private security wanding and preventing access to public streets by lawful LTC? And if APD is standing by to arrest you, what would be the charge?LDP wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 5:54 pm I heard first-hand from friends who went that they have security personnel who wand every guest and search all belongings.
No legal 30.06 or 30.07 signs but you WILL be ejected without a refund if you are a legally armed citizen.
APD is standing by to arrest anyone who disagrees with their leftist ruling. Whether you are legal or not, does not seem to matter. They arrest you first, you sort it out with lawyers later.
Fun tidbit: despite the event being fenced off, any armed assailant can jump the fence and kill a lot of people, just like in Gilroy CA.
Fences don't stop armed bad guys. Armed good guys do.

Re: Austin City Limits Festival
Some time in the last 8 years since the original thread, RPB got banned. I don't recall what for, but he probably won't be able to respond...DKB wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 1:40 pmRPB, I’m curious if you’ve been back recently and if you carried how it went?RPB wrote:I was the OP.
I did end up carrying. I pocket carry. They were only glancing in bags, purses, etc though I'd have not wanted to be carrying in a bag they were searching just because I wouldn't want the worry or hassle. Went fine, and since I had to park 2 miles away, I felt a bit safer as I walked back to the car around midnight.
