Good link. I have seen Texas statute site and I have used it to get the latest legal language, but it's not as conveniently collected together as the handbook. Someone PM'ed me a search-able ls-16.pdf version that had presumably been tagged by using the full Adobe Acrobat OCR capabilities.JJVP wrote:Not quite what you are looking for, but you can get the individual statutes in plain text here:ScottDLS wrote:Does anyone know where I could get a text version of the 2009-2010 CHL handbook? The one at http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/ftp/forms/LS-16.pdf appears to be a scan of the document and thus not search-able in Adobe Acrobat Reader. I have some OCR software that I could probably use, but it's often cranky. I wonder if we could get the text version from the TXDPS.

You can copy and paste into a word doc and create your own text manual.
Often when I'm posting here or making a comment on a post, I like to go right to the statute and read what it says, to see if I can offer any input/opinion/analysis.
