Re: NRA Against Bump Fire Stocks?
I was disappointed by this as well. Maybe it is some sort of chess move statement, but it came out sounding like ‘even the NRA doesn’t support bump fire stocks’ - emboldening anti gun forces at exactly the wrong time. We don’t even have a full investigation yet. I could care less about the stocks, I...

Re: BREAKING: P320 Recall Issued By Dallas Police | Prohibited From Duty Till Repaired
This problem wouldn't be likely to happen with the manual safety model 320. I have the manual safety model. I thought that at too at first... then I thought about when I might drop it. Around the house, or holstering? Safety will help. .... when firing or at a match? Both times when the safety woul...

Re: BREAKING: P320 Recall Issued By Dallas Police | Prohibited From Duty Till Repaired
Looks like DPD is right on this one, even if they lucked into it. Once it got the ball rolling, lots of folks are able to get the p320 to pop a primed case at a height of as low as 30"! I love my p320, but I'll not use it until a fix is developed. I can't say for sure I'll never drop it. http:/...

Re: HB1911: Rep. White's Press Release
One question, will the removal of TABC blue sign restrictions, also apply to the carry of long guns? Not that I plan on walking into convenience stores and restaurants with a slung AR, but folding rifles and compact SBRs could be carried in backpacks and briefcases. Pretty sure that even though the...

Re: HB1911: Rep. White's Press Release
If nothing else, if HB1911 passes it will build a history that will help pass future legislation. HB 1911 might not be the best thing, but it's a good thing. I once got to a store with a blue sign and discovered I didn't have my wallet, which meant I didn't have my CHL or my driver's license. No re...

Might be an effort to keep it low profile...or lack of interest. Hopefully the former!Skiprr wrote:It concerns me that this bill still has zero co-authors or sponsors.

Left starts their attack - HuffPo article on 'NRA' member opposing HB 375 and 560
I don't believe for a second this is organic- how would this 'NRA member' that's never contacted state reps before hear about these 2 bills, and then write the same tripe MDA and Bloomberg spew constantly (oh no there could be guns at school with kindergarteners, I never let my grandkids go anywhere...

I'm in for a hat and shirt. I'd wear it mainly at matches this spring. Should generate interest.

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?
I sent Rep Springer a Thank You fax. My new (D) rep doesn't have contact info yet (unless someone knows a website that shows the incoming Rep's contact info - best I could find was a campaign PO box). Once she does, I'll contact her as well.

Social Media/how to alert others for calls to action beyond this site
The latest national election proved the use of social media. What can we do to expand the reach of this website for the calls to action this session? Get friends to join texasfirearmscoalition Facebook page? Under 600 have joined so far. Cross post in other forums (I have done this often on ar15.com...

Re: Question about TSA Pre office in airport
I did the precheck 'interview' and printing in SA several months ago. The office is off a main hallway to one of the terminal entry and exit doors. Very small, a waiting room that is part of the entry and exit area and one office where you do the electronic printing and questions. No metal detector ...
