Re: DPS unveils new design for LTC card
What is the reason for two cards: LTC & Driver Lic? Why not all in one? I want to be able to show an ID without revealing my license to carry. Most employers want a copy of your driver license when hired, check-writing, purchases that require a minimum age, etc.. [...] Exactly. The two-card met...

Re: DPS unveils new design for LTC card
I'd be happier if it had the Real ID features that are on the Driver License. Right now, they only allow states to certify driver licenses and non-driver iden...

Re: Relocating From CA--->Texas Soon
I would personally just start your LTC process once you get a Texas ID. Even the paper one will suffice. From my personal experience, you can't sign in to the LTC site for the first time without your DL/ID audit number. DPS won't disclose this to you and it's not on the paper DL/ID, so you will hav...

Re: 2019 New LTC Processing Timeline...
I've been at print pending since Saturday the 9th, and the wait is killing me. I moved from a state where if you applied on Monday, you would have your license in hand on Thursday. Also, it appears the LTC website only updates once per day, some time after midnight. I haven't seen a status change du...
