I could write pages on this topic. But I've seen enough online arguments between two entrenched parties to realize that no matter the volume or quality of facts presented, neither party ever concedes.

The Trump debate has never really been about facts anyway. Ultimately, it's simply about people defending their respective "tribes". That's a debate that, by definition, can go nowhere. The idiots in Washington are the perfect example of this phenomenon.

I'm not a liberal by any stretch, but as an economist by training, I can't help but notice that the administration is making decisions based upon economic theories that were debunked decades (or even centuries) ago. Fundamental changes needed to be made to the way the U.S. does business at home and abroad, but I am deeply concerned.

In my opinion, our current path is a dangerous one that will produce no winners (except wealthy folks with their respective golden parachutes).
