Re: MO: St. Louis Lawyers Defend Mansion From BLM Protesters In Viral Video
After having worked in St. Louis for 20 years, including the area that the neighborhood is in, I can tell you they are literally surrounded by bad actors. I was always amazed at the opulence of some of the gated neighborhoods in St. Louis that two blocks away you don't feel safe being there. In St....
... My understanding is that she did file for PPP loan - but as we know the funds ran out and a lot of small businesses were left with no options. Also I personally know people who have been desperately trying to file for unemployment but cannot get through to even file for it. ...
...

Re: Anti drone equipment
.... Is the use of one of these drone catchers illegal in Texas? ...I have spoken to the little perv but to no effect. Easy shot with a .410 but I hear that is frowned upon. I bet I could get it with a pellet rifle. .... Bolas = a lot cheaper and easier. Due to the legal reasons cited in this threa...

Re: Soft locking rifle case?
Update to this topic -- Rather than going with a locking closet or a locking case as we originally assumed we would do, my husband had the brilliant idea to install a locking mechanism on our van's interior closet wall. To minimize the space devoted to this effort, we can put the rifle in a "so...

Re: No place but Dallas.
Having spent the winter and spring riding these things, my observation is that 95%+ of the riders are acting appropriately. After all, they / we are paying for those transactions. Screw around and you will be racking up fees for no good reason. If we call for the banning of certain tools and impleme...

Re: No place but Dallas.
Well, the thread veered a bit, but please let me add a different perspective about dockless bikes and scooters. I initially found those things to be supremely annoying as many people do, but real life is always a great teacher. I became a fan this winter / spring while working extensively in downtow...

There is also the issue of medical coding restrictions. I don't go to the doctor often because I am rarely sick. On those rare occasions when I am there, sometimes I say, "While we are at it..." and I try to broach some additional minor issue, to kill two birds with one stone. Invariably I...

Re: TX: Austin Road Rage with Firearms
Sidebar comment: One of the best ways to minimize road rage is to actually build roads, so that people are not so quick to rage on account of the ungodly mess we all find ourselves in. Yesterday I was the recipient of it myself, and because I had come from the FTZ (foreign trade zone, Port of Housto...

Re: Texas: San Antonio needs French speaking volunteers
Congolese French isn't that far-removed from normal French; a Congolese lady at work and I chat from time to time and I've yet to notice anything unusual, but my French is only at the level of a 10-yr old. Seems to be correct. I just called some up on YouTube. It is remarkably Parisian, but of cour...

Soft locking rifle case?
Can anyone recommend a rifle case which is small / slim, canvas or similar, and which has some kind of a locking mechanism on it? Analogous to a bank's bag in which they carry cash and lock the zipper. I'm thinking in terms of Safe Passage (18 USC) where I'm intending to transport a Henry Big Boy ac...

Re: Survey of other states' knife laws
That's a start, but ultimately he really needs to develop a one-page matrix: states in the first column down the side, and types of knives in the first row across the the top. And X's in the intersecting boxes where the types of knives are legal. And yes, I did email him that suggestion.

Re: TX: brass knuckles, kitty keychain etc ban lifted...
Just as a potentially amusing factoid, I found no version of the kitty key chain for sale on Amazon this morning. I figured what the heck, given that it has come up in conversation and will likely be legalized, I'd pick up a couple for myself and for use as future stocking stuffers. None, not even k...

It came out of both House and Senate Committees unanimously and out of both chambers unanimously - no nays anywhere. In view of that, it is not likely that the Governor's office will interfere with it. Furthermore, it's often the case that the Governor's staff will signal in advance if there is an i...

Re: Female gun ownership and the rise of fashionable "carrywear"
IMO, the purse market is still highly lacking, and a lot of it is sexist to boot. I won't even look at most of the products, which are toward the frilly or rhinestone-y end of the spectrum. And/or the construction quality just isn't there. And/or the prices are ridiculous for what is offered. And/or...

Re: Company Email - No Guns in Cars
State trumps company policy, but it's worth clarifying that federal trumps state, to the effect that the same thing is not true for employee parking lots that are part of federal properties, correct? And especially Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) parking lots, where many different rules apply. Do correct m...
