My Glock is ported and any extra oil acts as a magnet to attract any powder residue exiting the barrel. 
The more oil in the action the more I have to clean it. The instructions that came with it said about three drops of oil was all that was needed and that in my opinion is absolutely the best advice about Glocks I've ever gotten.
