Re: Instructor Renewal
For those wondering, once you access/download the updated material and exam, you print out the exam, circle answers, scan to file, then email or upload to RSD. Basically it is an untimed open-book exam. 20 questions. Passing score of 80% or above.

Re: What do you use to monitor safe humidity?
Finally getting some spare time to catch-up on the forum. I hope the hygrometer is working out well for you. I've been pleased with mine. Had to replace lithium batteries after about 6 months.

Same here. The online application receipt referenced an email to schedule fingerprints. The emailed submitted application confirmation message only shows the LTC-90. Received an emailed confirmation of all docs received the next day.

Re: What do you use to monitor safe humidity?
I use Goldenrods and Hydrosorbent Silica Gel Desiccant Dehumidifier Boxes. For monitoring I use the ThermoPro TP65 Digital Wireless Hygrometer with an additional ThermoPro TPR65 Transmitter. Base unit supports up to 3 remote transmitters. From base unit I can see ‘indoor’ (base) room and ‘outdoor’ (...

I always conceal carry. It’s what I’m used to and comfortable with. Summer clothing can be a bit of a challenge.

Re: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Active Shooter
That gave them a 6 minute head start to stop him. If a security guard was shot why wasn't every armed security person LEO or not who was on the property, at that guys room with in 5 minutes. I don't understand. That six minutes is really bothering me, I don’t understand at all. Something very, very...

Re: Instructor Range qualification in Austin?
Aug 20 works better for me. Aug 19 early AM is a remote possibility. I'm in the Dripping Springs area.
I don't have access to a private range, so it's usually Lone Star (Lockhart), The Range (Austin), or Red's (Oak Hill). Some pros/cons for each. Open to other suggestions.

I'm generally available on weekends and willing to schedule during the week with reasonable notice. [I'm still coming up to speed on the forum, so if these communications are better done...
