Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder
Hmmm...a volunteer handicapped parking monitor program in Harris County, TX. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WruEvWwFw3c I would sign up for that job if they paid a 25% commission. I do all the legwork and the government gives me 1/4 of the fines for my trouble and keeps 3/4. It sounds like a win-w...

Re: Feds drop restrictions on files for 3-D printing certain guns
John Lott weighs in. This marks the end of gun control The federal government has finally recognized the obvious – that sharing instructions on how to make guns with 3D printers counts as constitutionally protected speech. Despite little fanfare, this is an important victory for First Amendment righ...

Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder
Some one said it was the new Trayvon Martin story. Doesn’t seem to have the legs, maybe due to the age of the. “victim/aggressor”. In addition to their ages, I think the video is a big factor. We see who turned a conversation into physical combat. We can't hear what was said but we can see one man ...

Re: Courtrooms
I can’t quote a law, but They wouldn't let me into Jury Duty with a 2.75” pocket knife. It was a lockback, maybe that was a difference. I think that's the root of the misunderstanding. They are enforcing a policy but that doesn't mean their policy has the force of law. For example, a movie theater ...

Re: Three professors sue UT to keep guns out of their classrooms
"I like the Judge's hypothetical to the professors' lawyer whether they would have standing to sue the State to prevent the chilling of free speech in a public park/rally scenario. Lawyer: "Uh... Uh.... I really don't know, Your Honor." Sounds like a lame anti-fa retort... I'm sure t...

Courtrooms
A friend says it's illegal to carry a pocket knife in a courtroom. I know we're not allowed to carry our handguns or location-restricted knives in a courtroom. (TX Penal § 46.03) However, I can't find anything in the penal code that prohibits shorter (not location-restricted) knives in a courtroom. ...
