Re: Interesting Psychology: Open Carry & The Weapons Effect
Like any "study" where the conclusion ids already cemented, testing can be skewed to be sure that the desired result is met. It could be "proven" with the right parameters, and testing procedures, that pigs are aerodynamic, and should be the best choice to ride for aerial tours....

Re: Seattle gun tax failure? Firearm sales plummet, violence spikes after law passes
It is a shame that the city has become what it is now... it is one of the most beautiful areas in the country. That being said, it has a nasty underbelly that no one there wants to talk about. Drug violence, lots of homeless...

Re: Alien Gear CloakMount In-Vehicle Locations
Alllllright.... Just finished my little door mount cover project. I should preface this by stating that I am, by no means, skilled at sewing or stitching. In fact, this was my first time stitching with a sewing machine, so the hemmed edges are a bit rough. Not too noticeable from the front though. ...

Yeah, you would have LOVED Argyle 15 years ago... still beautiful, but it's getting more crowded by the day. And that commute is definitely gonna be longer.

Re: Dallas State Rep Arrested for DWI
Freaking get a ride.... it's $15-$20 to get you home safe without killing innocent motorists and bystanders (or trees). If you don't have common sense and responsibility enough to not D&D, how can you be responsible enough to represent an entire community (especially those that didn't vote for h...

Re: Alien Gear CloakMount In-Vehicle Locations
Absolutely would be visible... I'm in the process of constructing a charcoal colored fabric "cover" of sorts that snaps in to place when I need it covered. Was considering adhesive Velcro, but with the Texas heat, it would only be a matter of time before it fell off. Don't trust the "...

Re: Ruger American Pistol - Own One?
I also have the Compact 9mm... absolutely love this firearm, so much so that I'm likely going to pick up the full size for home/truck. I use the large palm swell and it just molds into my hand. Great acquisition on draw for me. Shoots dead nuts accurate (even when I don't) and has a natural tendency...

Re: Alien Gear CloakMount In-Vehicle Locations
Thanks Trey.. I'd love to mount in a similar location but unfortunately I don't have a center floor console (front seat is a split bench), though I've been toying with installing one in my truck in the near future. The downside to that is that because I'm using the IWB RHD holster, the firearm would...

Alien Gear CloakMount In-Vehicle Locations
I recently purchased an Alien Gear CloakTuck 3.0 RHD and got the Cloak Mount to go with it. I was intending on mounting it underneath the sterring column or possibly just to the right of it (mounting in a 2014 Ram 1500) but I couldn't seem to find a good surface and was worried about my firearm &quo...

Had a very similar experience... application submitted on 5/18/17, CHL-100 on 5/19/17, Fingerprints done on 5/23/17... plastic arrived today (along with an Alien CloakTuck 3.0w/ single mag holder and dock ). Was surprised it went that quick give others' experiences.

Re: Size VS Capacity
I think, like everyone else here, it came down to weighing all options and finding the best fit... everyone is going to weigh factors differently. For me, it was a matter of concealment & capacity (which are often inversely proportionate), and functionality/reliability. My EDC is a Ruger America...
