Wait. What?

You think for one minute that Democrats aren't going to deny what we want?

Maybe I am misunderstanding something. :headscratch
We need to challenge and replace the RHINOS with support of new blood at the primary level, even if they are not in your district!
Hard to do when they avoid taking a vote and then tell us they fought hard for it. We have no way to know any different.

I'm sure some of them did fight for it. Others will keep quiet while they kill it and whisper sweet nothings in our ears.

We need to start holding their feet to the fire. If they aren't fighting loudly for what we want, then we have to assume they had different ideas.

I know I'm just bitter, but I'm tired of being lied to by legislators that think I'm a sheep and will vote for them no matter how long they drag their feet.

Elections matter. Sooner or later, we'll lose seats in the senate and then we won't get squat passed. How long do we have to tolerate being led around by these people?

Of course not. I just expect our side to do more than blow hot air.

Re: HB 560 - Holy Grail?

I've followed bills here quietly over the last few sessions and I'm bitterly disappointed at the death of this bill. It's all fine and good to say we shouldn't allow anger at what I see as a betrayal by our elected officials to stop other bills that will still do good.

Fine. I get that.

On the other hand, the murky process where our lawmakers deny us our rights behind closed doors session after session with no consequences has to end, too. There's only so much good will we should give them before we remind them they serve us and should fear our anger and disappointment.

If too many people become disappointed, we start staying home. That has bad consequences across the board. I don't want that, but I'm not willing to just allow entitled public servants to continue to ignore our will. Losing support is the only currency they understand.

They screwed us this time. Next time it might be them getting screwed if they don't do what we voters demand. I'm tired of being told to sit down and shut up so that we might get something in the next session. Session after session.

Our lawmakers better start delivering or we'll start getting more democrats elected because we're tired of being denied.
