Patience is a virtue

I thought this day would never come.

I have had the hardest time getting my LTC and want to share my unique story for those that feel the piece of plastic will never arrive.

I am an active duty Marine and was stationed overseas when I first applied for my LTC in 2015. I received a letter that I met all of the qualifications except for the in state pistol proficiency test portion(military pistol expert qualifications will not suffice). So in May 2016, when I go back to the states, I attended the LTC class but I did not have time to get the digital fingerprints done while I was passing through Texas. Figuring that my ink fingerprints were sufficient first time, I submitted them again from my new duty station. After six months of phone calls to the LTC customer service I was informed that my prints were not valid and to resubmit them! That was October 2016.
Finally 24 February 2017! print pending. Never give up. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Lessons learned: 1. Spend the time on digital fingerprints.
2. Call the LTC on at least once a month to follow up (I never heard the same story twice).
