Re: No guns at fireworks...legal?

Apprently they are tightening a lot of them down this year. Heard that Addison will only be allowing 30,000 in the park and they will be inspecting bags and coolers.

Re: No guns at fireworks...legal?

Unless a dog is trained to search for the smell of Gun Scrubber, Hoppes 9 and Gibbs Brand Lubricant they are not gonna know I am carrying a gun. Power in a enclosed shell will not be idetifyable to a dog above the smell of te cleaning solvent and lubricants I use.

What if they have an entry control point with LEOs and a security check point? Is that proper notification?
I doubt they will. Unless they are running everyone thorough metal detectors, at a single access point, then they won't be. I have never seen a fireworks show at a city they did this. If they do, identifying yourself to the LEO and showing your CHL to them would potentially get you in. However, you might end up finding a LEO who says you can't go in. While they legally can't keep you out of a city park, you would be hassled. You could fight it later, but probably wouldn't get in.

At the bottom of the page they have a paragraph talking about Boston and increased awareness etc. and then say that because of this, no weapons of any kind will be allowed in the park for the festival and fireworks. Is this legal? Can I carry? Town park, town festival, town fireworks....
Not proper notice for a CHL, would have to be 30.06. And, if it is a city park, then 30.06 is not valid anyway.
